Why NovaClimate Ag exists
Shifting climate patterns are redrawing the map of arable land and water availability. That is the problem this firm was built around: helping growers and organizations produce reliably as the conditions they planned for stop holding.
NovaClimate Ag was founded by Dr. Ammad Abbas Khan, a plant scientist and agronomist with a PhD in Plant Cell and Molecular Biology, awarded as a Darwin Trust Scholar at the University of Edinburgh, whose research advanced Controlled Environment Agriculture. Our work runs along two lines: building production systems that are independent of weather, and breeding the crops that can take what the weather now brings.

Plant scientist and agronomist with a PhD in Plant Cell and Molecular Biology, awarded as a Darwin Trust Scholar at the University of Edinburgh. His research advanced Controlled Environment Agriculture, with hands-on expertise in greenhouse systems, hydroponics, vertical farming, and climate-smart agritech. He has taken that work into practice, leading innovation in seed development, vertical farming, and agribusiness ventures across the U.S., Europe, and beyond. His focus is bridging modern science with established agricultural practice, so growers adopt advanced technology without losing what already works. Leads Controlled Environment Agriculture.

12+ years of applied plant breeding, agronomy, and production research across canola, sunflower, and wheat, with field-to-commercialization experience: trial design, statistics, SOPs, and technology deployment. Covers plant genomics, molecular breeding, and bioinformatics, including marker-assisted selection, genetic diversity analysis, and computational tools for trait discovery.
